MSI has just announced that two new MSI Wind U230 netbooks are now available for purchase at Newegg.com. These two netbooks break from the traditional netbook specs with a 12.1″ screen, 2 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium and Athlon Neo processors including a Dual Core X2 processor option on the Wind U230-040US model. In fact, when you look at the whole package it’s hard to consider the higher end U230 a netbook as its specs make it look more like a ultra-portable.

The two models, the Wind U230-033US and the Wind U230-040US both are designed with the MSI EDS (Ergonomic Destress) keyboard which are 51% larger than standard keys. This larger surface area is supposed to reduce finger and wrist strain that typically acoompanies prolonged netbook usage; but it isn’t clear what size a “standard” key is. We look forward to taking a closer look at an EDS keyboard in the near future to see for ourselves.

Valve, the company behind the digital gaming distribution platform, Steam, has made a big announcement today. Valve will be bringing the Steam service to Mac, along with their popular Source game engine. What does this mean exactly? Well, any games that use the Source engine will run on Mac. A+ games such as Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat: Source, Counter-Strike: Source, Left for Dead, Left for Dead 2, and Portal (and the upcoming Portal 2) are all powered by Source, and will all run on Mac, once Valve delivers Steam in April. Each of the aforementioned games are incredible in their own right, but the fact that Valve is bringing them all to Mac, in one fell swoop, is down-right awesome. If you ever wished that there we’re good, modern, games to play on Mac, you can now look forward to it.

Today's episode of The 404 Podcast deals with a lot of movies, which makes sense after last night's utterly forgettable Academy Awards ceremony, or so Wilson claims, because he forgot to watch.

The awards committee certainly wasn't lacking a sense of irony after selecting Sandra Bullock for the best female performance in "The Blind Side." The actress also won the Razzie for worst female actor in "All About Steve." Audience members were also surprised to see "Avatar" lose the best picture award to "The Hurt Locker," despite the questionable activity of one of its producers prior to the event. It's also interesting to note how the same movies in the best picture category ranked on BitTorrent, with "District 9" earning the most at more than 12 million downloads since its DVD-quality release last September.

In continuation partnership of Samsung and Best Buy, Samsung made their two new models available to Best Buy; the N210 Netbook and R80 series Notebooks.

As per BusinessWire, both of these models will be available on Best Buy from March 7.
