We took a look at the Fujitsu SnapScan S300 mobile scanner at CES 2008. This USB-powered scanner scans both sides of your documents in a single pass at up to eight pages per minute when plugged in and four pages per minute when running on USB power.

Scanning documents is super easy. As you can see in the video,you can throw a bunch of receipts and paper into the SnapScan S300 and it will automatically scan and straighten all of them with the single press of a button.

The SnapScan S300 comes with optical character recognition and organizing software to make it easy to track your documents and expenses. It scans in color or black and white at 600dpi.

Fujitsu introduced a 2.5-inch external hard disk drive, which has a very creative name: “The Fujitsu External Hard Disk Drive.” The 300GB/4200RPM costs $229 and a 120GB/5400RPM version costs $129.

“We are proud to launch the world’s highest capacity 2.5” External HDD product into the marketplace at a time when consumers are demanding more storage, compact designs, and features that advance the level of data security,” said Lorne Wilson, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc.

Fujitsu introduced two computers with AT&T’s HSDPA built-in today and I got a chance to play with them. I pointed the U810 to speedtest.net and was blown away by its upload speed. The speed test starts off slow on the download portion, but the upload speed shoots to 3697 kb/s! I’ve been struggling to get 10% of that speed using my Sprint EVDO cards.

I’ve got some serious upload envy…

Fujitsu announced a 320GB laptop drive, the highest capacity 2.5-inch drive on the market. The new drive, spinning at 5400 RPM, should satisfy most multimedia gluttons, with enough capacity to store about 80,000 songs or 140 hours of DVD-quality video. The MHZ2 BH series hard drive utilizes Perpendicular Magnetic Recording to cram more capacity into the compact form factor.
