Well today I received a brand new HP Pavillion HDX-9200 Entertainment Notebook from the guys at HP to do a product review of it on my blog here as well as on I’m With The Band. This is the first product review that I’ve done, apart from a few CD and gig reviews on I’m With The Band,

FedEx delivered the HP HDX we’re giving away this month and we’re getting ready to kick off our contest on May 18th. Rules and entry information are coming shortly, but you don’t have to wait till then to win an HP HDX.

Absolute Vista, OSNN, Ars Technica and jkOnTheRun have already kicked off their contests. Head over to their sites and enter the contests, which all end within the next six days. Some of the contests require some legwork, but it’s worth the $5,100 (retail value) prize.

Weighing in at 1.2 KG, Hewlett-Packard's 2133 Mini-Note PC is heavier than the Eee 701 PC, but it features a much bigger hard drive (my review unit has a 120GB hard drive that spins at 7200 rpm), more memory and, at 8.9 inches, a slightly bigger screen.

Mais uma vez, tenho mais um motivo para odiar a HP, não pelo seus notebooks já que em particular o meu HP Pavilion DV6308NR é muito bom.

I’m struggling to figure out the best way to carry around the HP 2133. A small notebook needs a small bag if you want to take advantage of its small stature, but how’s a big guy like me supposed to pull this off?

I’d really like to find a bag that’s just big enough for the 2133, but doesn’t scream ‘man purse.’

HP isn’t selling any cases built specifically for the HP 2133 yet, and maybe the company’s product people are struggling with the same issue.

I’ve searched around the web for over two hours and still can’t find anything masculine enough for my taste. The closest thing I’ve found so far is Waterfield Designs’ Sleeve Case (pictured here), but I’ll probably look goofy carrying it.

I’ve never had this same concern with relatively small DSLR cases, but maybe that’s because camera bag manufacturers have spent decades perfecting the art of making small bags look manly.

Hopefully I’ll find a solution soon. Until then, I’m going to have to make my wife carry the HP 2133 for me in her purse…
